I'm composing this new journal entry with both good and bad news.

I was heartbroken to discover recently that Tawny has a tumor under her right arm. She doesn't appear to be in any discomfort right now so I'll try to make the most of our time together.

Of course I'll miss Tawny horribly but I'm also sad for Sable. They've been together their entire lives. They eat, sleep, groom, and do everything together.

I figure if there were another rat for her to bond with she won't be as lonely when Tawny passes.

So today I brought home Beau! He's a standard black (not brown!) hooded. I named him Beau because apparently he is handsome. Tawny and Sable were very eager to meet him. The first thing Sable did was lick his face and roll onto her back! (What a flirt!) Tawny just wanted to play.
